Ray Bradbury has died at the age of 91
(1/1)
Zen:
I am sad to report that acclaimed science fiction/fantasy author Ray Bradbury has died. He had suffered a stroke in 1999, but continued writing. He was 91 years-old.
I haven't read nearly as many of his books as I would like to, but I did a report on The Martian Chronicles for an English class in school, and have read many of his short stories, a modern fantasy that I enjoyed and cannot remember the name of, and, of course, Farenheit 451, which I think should be required reading! (That is a book that is desperately in need of adaptation to a movie again. The one that was done felt really stiff to me...)
It is always sad to see one of the Grand Masters leave us, but at least he left us with plenty to remember him by! I think I have some reading to do now ...
Genichiro:
It's always a shame to see someone with such a great mind and intellect pass on. At least his books will continue to leave his mark on the world.
Cirno:
Aw... he was a great writer. He will be missed.
