As some of you know, i was trying to pick a hair cut style for my haircut today...
So, I got a call this morning from the haircut place. The guy who was supposed to cut my hair came down with a throat infection and he has to drop all of his appointments for today. Called back to see if I could reschedule with another person, but nobody is available until WEDNESDAY!
I really wanted to have an awesome haircut for Mother?s Day. I?m going down to the shore T__T
Oh, well. Maybe this all happened for a reason. Originally, I couldn?t get the person I wanted to cut my hair so we had to book with the guy who got sick. My appointment on Wednesday is with the person I originally
Hope it all works out.
-
that sucks well at least nothing else did happen like the place you get your haircut could have moved/disappear out of blue lol but then again you might have other places to get your haircut if that happen XD
and number 1 is better looking trust me i know whats sexy/good looking when i see it :tastey:
-
Hmm, but my gut is still telling me to go with number 2
-
Wow, that sucks with the haircut guy getting sick. Well, you'll always have that look in spirit, right? Go for what feels right, don't mind us.
-
I'm sure you'll get your haircut, and it'll look awesome.
(I want to see pics~)
-
w00t pics pl0x :want:
-
Post pics of your new haircut.
-
Hmm... Alright. I'll do a before and after. I'll post the pics here after i get my haircut on wednesday.
-
Nice!
-
Oh boy, haircut pics! I can't wait!
-
It happened again! They called up again and said the lady who was supposed to cut my hair is sick! At least this time the lady who called offered to cut my hair. I just hope she knows what she's gotten herself into. I also hope she knows what she's doing... 3 more hours.
-
Pics or it didn't happen... :)
-
F**k yo wth. I gave that lady a frikin picture. A PICTURE. Oh god this is a horrible failure if there ever was one. Jesus I told her before we started, I want it exactly like the picture and I even pointed out to her the most important parts I wanted. NOPE! Whatever! Damn it takes a lot to get me upset. You can call me names, pee on my floor, and punch my throat and I could still laugh it off. But this is a disgrace. Its a disgrace. I'm gonna go cry for a bit. Next time I'm just gonna cut my own damn hair.
-
Which one did you try to go with? And is it really that bad? :you seem to be seri
-
It looks like... a guy's haircut. I picked number 2. I told her to do it exactly like the picture. She interpolated and read between the lines when she shouldnt have and turned it into a haircut thatd look good on a guy. Damn it. If i didnt like it i coulda cut it off myself. I cant add hair BACK ON now.
-
Bummer!
-
This is why I just shave my head down to 1/4 inch. No worries.
-
Oh well, just wait for a few months more, then go to another hair salon to get the right haircut. I usually go to the usual hair-salon and it took the same hair-stylist 2-3 tries before he got the right haircut for me.
Therefore, a piece of advice "Live with it." Caps were invented for a reason.:XD:
-
Living with it. Everyone, it's not that bad I guess. I guess I was just in shock after losing more than half the length of my hair. Its not what i wanted, but it's not bad. Im still wondering about the before and after shot
-
Oh you did not take a before picture?
-
At least it grows back, right? I'm starting to bald, so... having it not grow back sucks. :TT TT:
-
Hair weaving is a solution, Gen.
-
Gen doesn't care too much, since he plans on getting wigs for when he goes en femme, anyway.
Don't worry Onion, your hair will be back before you know it!
-
Ah ha, kinda forgot that wigs exist for that reason too. Brain cells are all fried due to work......:dizzy:
-
Nah ive got the before pic. Just gotta take the after pic
-
Nah ive got the before pic. Just gotta take the after pic
Do eeet...:XD:
Let us sneer....err...nono....comment. :psychotic:
-
Hmmm..... ok in a bit
-
Don't be scared, we're all friends here, right?
And yeah, I'm going to just keep my natural hair short, since it doesn't look all that great when I grow it out, and just get wigs for when I feel like going full girl for a day. :meaw:
-
Hair doesn't suit your utilitarian lifestyle. Just lose it.
-
You could try going bald. I'd buy a wig to wear, just in case, though. :XD:
-
But... onions aren't supposed to be bald... are they?
-
That depends on how many layers you have peeled...
-
Lol. I do have many layers now xD
-
Lol. I do have many layers now xD
Finding someone to peel them for you... That's the hard part! Especially when it makes them cry sometimes... ;)

Onion, if you find someone who can handle you, ask her if she has a sister that doesn't mind dating a bigender otaku. :meaw:
-
Okie pokie
-
Yay!
-
I found someone! But she's got horns and she's drinking beer from a gourd... o_o might be too wild for you.
-
You found real-life Suika? I can handle her. :meaw:
-
Gen with real life Suika? That would be fun to watch~
-
But... onions aren't supposed to be bald... are they?
Hmmm...if I see hair on my onions, I'll throw it into my fireplace.:psychotic:
-
You must throw a lot of onions in the fireplace. :XD:
-
Every onion I've seen always has a little bush on it. It's a beard, or hair, depending on how you hold it.
-
I think I've always been told it's a beard. Haven't really brought that up since I was a kid, though.
-
I don't really think about what it's called. I just cut it off to get to the part I eat.
-
You just cut is all off? Hmm...
/me imagines a bald Onion
-
I don't think Onion would like being bald.
-
Id hate being bald
-
I know I'd hate being bald. I hate that I'm balding now. I'm scared to see what I'll look like ten years from now. :TT TT:
-
I came to grips with the fact that I am balding long ago. But I also grew out what hair I have left...
-
I've tried growing out my hair, but it just doesn't grow out the way I want it to. It's way too curly; even when I let it grow for a few years, it looked like it was shoulder length. :;^^:
-
Gen, you should just get a wig for daily use, or something. Then you won't have to worry about it anymore!
-
Mine is more wavy than curly, but the curls are the reason that I grew my hair out in the first place. When my "bangs" got to the point that they were no longer an issue, I had to do something different.
Growing up, my dad, who had the same hairline as I, as did/does his father, my brother, my uncle, and I presume all male ancestors on that side of the family, (Sorry son!) always just had my mom cut his hair. She would just comb it back and cut it straight across the bottom. Done! Simple, easy to maintain, and looked fine, considering there was nothing on-top or in front. If I did that, my curls/waves would make my hair stand out all over the place! That length, just to the nape of the neck or whatever, is precisely the WRONG spot for my hair to be, unless I totally forgo all vanity. So I had a choice: Cut it short, as in buzz-cut, shave it off, or grow it out. I chose the latter. (Interestingly, one of my co-workers shaved his head about the same time, and my brother usually has a buzz cut...)
So I started growing it out. This was about 6 or 7 years ago, when my daughter was about 4ish and starting to grow her hair out too. Here is one of the best pictures of my hair, with an assist by the Magic House children's science museum in St. Louis:

My mom always told me growing up that if I grew my hair long I would be the envy of all the girls, because it waves in just the way many of them spend lots of time and money to get their hair to do... I don't think they envy the front though...
-
Lol xD That's an awesome picture!

My biology teacher in high school told me that you get the baldness gene from your Mother's Father. My grandpa has all of his hair, so I should be relatively safe!
-
That is what they always say, but that doesn't explain why all of the men on my dad's side of the family have the same exact hairline, and my mom's dad didn't have that hairline...
Male pattern baldness runs in the female side of the family. Receding hairlines run in the male side, at least according to my family's experience...
As for the hair... I liked it before, sorry to say... It will grow back, just don't go back to that stylist. (Not that it looks bad now, just too short, especially for what you described as wanting done with it.)
EDIT: Because I was currious about the current state of genetic research on the issue, I looked it up. Here is what it said on Wikipedia, with citations, so I expect it is OK...
"Recent research confirmed the X linked androgen receptor as the most important gene. With a gene on chromosome 20 being the second most important determinant gene (snpedia). This research suggest that heredity AGA is X linked, however, research has also shown that a person with a balding father has a significantly greater chance of experiencing hair loss. Men whose fathers had experienced hair loss were 2.5 times more likely to experience hair loss themselves, regardless of the mother's side of the family, which may suggest Y linked heredity plays a role."
So, research has confirmed that the gene they know the most about is X linked, thus comes from the mother, but it is also true that you are 2.5 times more likely to experience hairloss if your father had hair loss... Sounds like they just haven't found the right gene! I have always been told that baldness comes from your mother's side, but I have always known it was BS! LOL!
-
Zen, you have the hair I want (minus the front).
Onion... it'll grow back. It looks alright, but the cuts you wanted would've been better. :XD:
As for me, well, my hair pattern is pretty much identical to my father's. The only difference is that my hair is more curly than his was. I'm balding the same way, right down the middle. :TT TT:
-

My mom was right about my hair being the envy of all the girls! Kind of... LOL!
-
Lol xD
Well, my dad has a full head of hair. In fact, i only know a few balding people in my family. And im not even sure how im related to most. One guy i know is my mothers moms brother. Lol whatever xD
-
Maybe I can get some kind of surgery to get my hair back... wigs would be cheaper, though. That, and I'm worried they'll pull hair off my rear, or something weird like that. :omg:

Whoa, that's awesome looking! Yeah, maybe the middle is lacking a little, but the rest looks awesome!
Lol xD That's an awesome picture!

You look like you're good to go. Gen was showing signs of balding since he started Uni. Maybe the stress from his studies made it fall out? You look cool, even with shorter hair. Can't wait to see what you'll look like when it grows back out and you get it with the style you wanted.
Maybe I can get some kind of surgery to get my hair back... wigs would be cheaper, though. That, and I'm worried they'll pull hair off my rear, or something weird like that. :omg:
If it's practical, do the surgery, otherwise, stick with wigs. You're natural hair just isn't working all that well for you, as far as trying to look feminine goes. (Sorry for being so honest)
-
Yeah, wigs can work, I suppose, but... well, I suppose using wigs would make it easy to switch back and forth between male and female expressions. Hmm... actually, that's not a bad idea. (And it's a lot cheaper. :you seem to be seri)
-
Why not try one of those infomercial methods?
-
Maybe. I have plenty of time to look into different options. :meaw:
-
Do it Gen, so you can be the next guy that says "I'm not only a sponsor, I'm a customer!"
-
Oh yeah... that's not happening. :XD:
