there, deleted the archived thread as I'm done with it. I trust all of you are saving the bits you want anyway.

Wait, what was it? I wasn't paying attention to any of that. Did you find out how to archive threads from Baka Wolf??

I was looking at leafy app in genjo subs and he says he hangs around #tonde, but since the start the official irc channel for the fs is #tondemonai, so whats up with that guys? ...

SUGOI!!! Sugoi awesome!

If you want, I can edit it, it's good but can do a little touching up.
Now was wondering if you want to sub the live action...

Post by: Onion on May 03, 2012, 10:52
I already had Atvrcr edit it. Noone's complaining so far. You can edit the final op for the anime. Hopefully they use this song. I love the song so catchy xD
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: LeafyVegetable on May 03, 2012, 19:41
Alright then. And as for this being the OP, it's good but from yuru yuri, I honestly expected better. Not saying it's bad, but it's just hard to beat perfection.

Yeah, it was too long, and entirely unorganized, that's why I split our stuff up into different boards. Makes it easier to find work related stuff vs. us pulling a Houkago Tea Time. :meaw:
It is #tondemonai
If there is a #tonde, ive never been there. Leafy musta just make a mistake.
Actually, there IS one. I made that as a backup channel, just in case. :serious business:

@Onion in case you haven't watched it yet

http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=310379

Yuru Yuri live event. In glorious 1080p. Problem is, most of the seiyuu are too damn old. And not loli. But meh.

Things on nyaa don't last long, so grab it while it's hot. Just finished seeding today, took a few days lol cos the uploader had crap speed. The swarm DL'd like 30% a day.

At the end of the day, looking back, we've grown a lot since then. We can now take our place among the other fansub groups, rather than being the half dead upstart no one knows about. Sure had it's ups and downs.

Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: LeafyVegetable on May 19, 2012, 10:58
As for me, fansubbing is always about the fans. And to be a major powerplayer in group politics  ::)

Meh, I like getting involved in what I like, and anime is no different. The opportunity to work with like minded anime fans to create something good is an awesome feeling that can't be easily explained.

Talking to fans, discussing anime and being involved with the community has been a largely great experience, even though I don't mix much outside of my groups' channels. And wherever I go, be it chiki, oyatsu, liquid, maybe even fffpeeps, my time at Tonde is something that no other group can replace. Not to say that Oyatsu isn't dear to me, but this place is pretty much the greatest sense of community I've seen, even though it's small and inactive.

Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: LeafyVegetable on May 21, 2012, 08:19
Well, we're taking small, solid steps forward. Hope to take big, solid steps soon.  :want: Seriously, at present, despite having 2 TLs we're averaging fewer than one ep per week. But that's understandable due to just starting up again and moving house, as well as getting basic infrastructure set up. Do hope things take off from here though. I'm not generating hype, and yet the fanbase is already quite large.
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: Onion on May 21, 2012, 09:15
What kind of batches are we releasing? 5 eps? 10 eps?
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: Genichiro on May 21, 2012, 21:32
Yeah, we are trying to restart ourselves. It's going, and that's enough for me. I'm not worried about going super fast; never have, never will be. Doesn't matter how fast me move, as long as we are moving forward.
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: LeafyVegetable on May 22, 2012, 00:20
The problem with Mirumo is we're the exclusive subber. If we don't do it, it's dead. If we drop it, it's over. That's why I want to go fast so as to get it over with sooner rather than later. Because something might happen to us, and then the series is dead again.
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: Genichiro on May 22, 2012, 06:51
I see your point, but forcing things could break us apart, too. Have to find the happy point of balance. :XD:
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: LeafyVegetable on May 22, 2012, 08:28
:omg: Indeed. That's why I don't really pressurize people, just list the tasks and when they're done, give them a new one. Systematically we'll get this done... the most important thing about this system is everyone is always assigned something at any time and not waiting for someone else (except me, I wish things would go faster)  :have a nice day: :lll._.:
Also, I know some people don't really like being managed, but some organization is required to ensure no one is redoing or missing stuff. Keeping our workbench tidy is my job  :meaw:  Just try not to be overbearing and respect people as people.

Thumbs up to leafy. I gave you a thanks.
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: Genichiro on May 22, 2012, 21:12
Yeah, this is true. Someone has to manage everything in a project. It was easy back when it was just Onion and me. It's a little more complex, now that there are more people, including another group, involved. :XD:

Post by: LeafyVegetable on May 23, 2012, 04:47
Aww man now you're makin me blush  :dizzy: glad you understand my 'assertiveness' is necessary.
Does not mean I won't listen to and consider everything you tell me though.

Thanks for your hard work so far, ganbatte, we're not far from batch release. I think we should do 1-10 (2 more than the hated HnK), target release mid june.

Wow... HnK must be really evil, or something. Glad to see you guys have plans for a release soon!
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: LeafyVegetable on May 23, 2012, 08:56
Well, I wasn't really around during their era, but can kinda tell  they're elitist with a better than you attitude, lack of community spirit, and they're jerks. Kinda like commie subs. Also, not releasing the raws when they stopped, and did I say being an all round jerk?
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: Genichiro on May 23, 2012, 21:41
Ah, one of those groups, huh? If I exclusively had the raws, I'd certainly have no problem sharing them with groups who would want them for doing other language releases. I'd be a little skeptical of releasing to a group for making a competing English release, of course. If we ever dropped, and another group wanted to pick up where we left off, though, that would be different. Oh well, for every decent group out there, there's a group full of jerks that blow themselves apart. :XD:
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: Cirno on May 24, 2012, 06:44
Jerk subbers aren't all that fun to hang with. It's funny to see what kind of crazy comments they put in their subs, though.
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: Genichiro on May 24, 2012, 21:12
This is true; they are good at coming up with random comedy crap to put in with their subs. (Though, some of the stuff they put in can come off as offending to some.)

The only thing I like about gg is that they always do soft subs.
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: Genichiro on May 26, 2012, 02:11
Soft subs are rather convenient, that's why I like doing soft sub releases.
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: LeafyVegetable on May 26, 2012, 05:48
Yeah. Love soft subs, and the ability to turn them off.
Title: Re: Tondemonai Subs Discussion
Post by: Genichiro on May 26, 2012, 07:48
Being able to turn them off is a nice perk. Better still, since I know how to style them, if I don't like the style the original group set, I can always do a quick fix. :meaw:

Post by: LeafyVegetable on July 29, 2012, 00:25
